Korean War Veterans Day
We volunteer at Korean War Veterans Day, organized by the Korean Veterans Association, and send thank you cards to Korean War Veterans and their families.
The freedom we enjoy is not complimentary, and we are eternally grateful to our Korean War Veterans, especially those who came to a country they had no connection to. Without them, there would be no Korea, and there would be no us. The president of the Korean Veterans Association shared a special story that the remains of a Korean War veteran who lived three hours away from Atlanta had just been found in South Korea and that the ashes had been returned to his family.
We are grateful for those who had traveled such a long distance, which takes a 15-hour flight even nowadays, at our age or a little older to fight for us. We will continue to do this activity to show our gratitude because we don't want the descendants of these heroes to forget their service.Â
