Educational Program

We recognize that educating our students is the most economically effective way to prevent future crimes. For instance, poverty, drug, and teen pregnancy are closely interconnected with crimes.

These are some factors that continue to challenge our citizens' daily lives. To address and resolve these issues, we hosted the seminars, the first seminar was led by police professionals from the Gwinnett Police Department who set up and answered questions from students.

The first seminar is titled “Guns and Gangs,” targeting middle and high school students. Our initial motivation comes from the hate shooting at an Asian-American spa shop in Atlanta on March 16, 2021, and we were shocked to learn about the school shooting at Apalachee High School in 2024, and the presence of gangs in some schools. This led us to choose Guns and Gangs as the theme for our first seminar. We host these kinds of seminars quarterly with Gwinnett County Police. We get sponsors from restaurants and run contests to get the students involved.

Additionally, we donate money to the police to show our appreciation for the service they provide to keep our community safe.

We can be victims or perpetrators of crimes at any time. Dating violence, sex crimes, school violence, and family violence are no exceptions. The need for education to avoid such experiences led us to partner with MOSAIC Georgia and begin training.
